This Privacy Policy explains how Photeditor (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use photeditor.com and its related services.

For privacy questions or requests, contact service@photeditor.com.

1. Information We Collect

Depending on the features you use, we may collect:

  • Account information: Your name, email address, profile image, authentication information, and account preferences. If you use a third-party sign-in option, we receive information needed to authenticate and maintain your account.
  • Content: Uploaded images, prompts, generated results, and associated processing details.
  • Usage and account records: Generation history, credit balances, credit transactions, and purchase records when paid features become available.
  • Technical and security information: IP addresses or derived identifiers, browser and device information, timestamps, session information, and records needed to detect errors or misuse.
  • Communications: Information you provide when contacting us for support or making a privacy request.

Some editor drafts and preferences may also be stored locally in your browser.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Create and authenticate accounts.
  • Process images and prompts, deliver results, and maintain your saved content.
  • Manage trial eligibility, credits, and available paid features.
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and security incidents.
  • Diagnose problems and understand how the Services are used.
  • Respond to requests and send necessary account or service communications.
  • Comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of our agreement with you, legitimate interests such as service security and improvement, compliance with legal obligations, or consent where required.

3. AI Processing and Training

Providing image generation and editing requires us to process your images and prompts. We may transmit relevant Content to third-party AI processing providers to carry out your requests.

Photeditor does not use your uploaded images, prompts, or generated results to train AI models.

Third-party providers may process information under applicable service terms and privacy policies. Our statement about Photeditor’s own training practices does not independently describe every provider’s practices.

4. When We Share Information

We may share information with service providers that help deliver hosting, storage, authentication, AI processing, email delivery, analytics, security, and payment processing when available.

We share information relevant to the service being performed. We may also disclose information when necessary to comply with law, protect rights or security, address fraud, or complete a merger, acquisition, or transfer of the business, subject to applicable protections.

We may share information for additional purposes when you direct us to do so or provide any required consent.

Your uploaded images and generated results are private by default and are not automatically published in a public gallery. Necessary access by service providers and authorized support or security personnel is separate from public sharing.

5. Cookies and Browser Storage

We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain login sessions, support security, and remember relevant preferences. Browser storage may retain editor drafts and support continuity between editing and sign-in.

Where enabled, analytics technologies help us understand service usage. We will seek consent for non-essential technologies where required by applicable law.

You can manage cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Blocking or clearing necessary storage may affect sign-in, saved drafts, and other features.

6. How Long We Keep Information

Trial images and results: For accounts that have not purchased credits, uploaded images and generated results are retained for 15 days from upload or generation, respectively. They then expire and are scheduled for deletion.

Images and results after a purchase: When an account successfully purchases credits, its existing unexpired images and results, together with future uploads and results, are stored without a scheduled expiration date. An exhausted credit balance does not by itself end this storage. Expired or deleted content is not restored.

These storage rules remain subject to user deletion requests, account deletion, lawful removal, and continued operation of the Services.

Other records: Account details, prompts, task metadata, credit records, support communications, and security logs may follow different retention periods according to their purpose. We retain them only as long as reasonably necessary for operating the Services, security, legal obligations, and resolving disputes.

Following a deletion request, some limited records may need to be retained for these purposes. Deletion from active systems and any backups may occur on different schedules. The 15-day image retention period does not mean every associated account or security record is deleted at the same time.

7. Security and International Processing

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information, including access controls. No system can guarantee absolute security.

Our service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, we will use the required safeguards.

8. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information; restrict or object to certain processing; or withdraw consent.

To submit a request, contact service@photeditor.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on it. Some requests may be subject to legal exceptions. Where applicable, you may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Withdrawing consent does not affect processing lawfully carried out before withdrawal.

9. Children and Young Users

The Services are intended for a general audience and are not directed at young children. Users must meet applicable age requirements and obtain parental or guardian consent where required.

If you believe a child has provided personal information without the authorization required by law, contact service@photeditor.com so that we can investigate and take appropriate action, including deletion where required.

10. Changes and Contact

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Services or our practices change. The current version will appear on this page with its effective date. We will provide additional notice or obtain consent where required by law.
